In this world these days there’s so much political correctness going on that it’s completely drowning out those who wish to speak their true opinions, uncensored. Most people are so very focused on trying not to offend some random person that they twist their words so they seemingly can’t be torn down, but they kind of end up not really saying anything of worth at all. As human beings we’re becoming more and more easily offended and less likely to be willing to accept that sometimes stupid things are said out of naivety or ignorance, and not a cruel, rude or vengeful nature. In doing this we have some people scared to say anything remotely purposeful at all, lest someone take offence. I’ve seen a lot of people concerned recently about online censoring and the toll it could take on our ability to present our opinion, but really society seems to already be censoring what the general population are saying or want to say. Random thoughts.
